I applied through other source. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual
Interview
Referred by a friend. Received a phone screen and was invited for an in-person interview. In person interview was basic background, career goals, sales experience, etc. I received a second interview that was much more in-depth and lasted for more than 2 hours. Second interview was more questions, a review of a personality test, and a meeting with the managing director. I was invited for a third interview, but declined the offer once I realized I would have to have 200 plus contacts immediately (mostly friends & family) to sell insurance and investment products too.

Question 1
Describe a time in your life where you had to overcome adversity.
There were four or five interviews, if you count the meeting with my future mentor. There were also a few personality assessments. Lots of paperwork. The finance industry is tightly regulated.
The first interview was easygoing and went fairly well. We talked a little on myself and what northwestern was all about. Because they wanted to see how I could fit in to their team and what I would bring.

The process was smooth and straight forward. A lot of behavioral based questions, but relaxed and low stress. First phase is a phone screening followed by a teams or in person meeting.
