Applicants first filled out a standardized application form and returned it to the college along with a current resume, an initial interview was conducted by the departing coordinator who in turn made his recommendations to highering management. After a short wait personnel called and scheduled a follow up interview with two levels of staff who had the final decision authority in the hiring process. The following week I received the information that the position was going to be consolidated into another and filled by the current holder of that position. Everyone involved with the process was genuine and professional and seemed concerned with both sides of the equation, that is the school's needs and those of the applicant.
