This was for a contract-to-hire position. They skipped the phone screen and was told it was because they really liked my resume. I was brought in for two onsite interviews. The first was with a development manager and a developer and the second visit was with another manager. The second manager was verifying my "culture fit". The second manager was concerned about my potential commute time (nearly an hour each way). The most striking thing about this company is the number of times I was warned about the owner of the company. He is ex-military and I was told that he was way outside of the "political correctness" scale. I was told that I would meet with him at some point before I was hired and that he usually asked an outrageous (and probably illegal) question in order to "see what my reaction is". I never met this person so I don't have a first-hand account.
