I recently went through a three-round interview process with Nielsen, and I was left feeling disappointed and frustrated. The process was lengthy, taking around two weeks to complete, and consisted of:
- A technical round with BarRaiser, which focused on SQL, Python, Spark, and technical skills.
- A second technical round with a Nielsen team member (MTS3), which covered SQL, Python, Spark, and system design.
- A techno-managerial round with a Senior Engineering Manager, where the focus was on system design and problem-solving.
While the interviewers were knowledgeable and asked relevant questions, the lack of feedback from the HR team was disappointing. After the second round, I was told that the feedback was positive, but I never received any feedback on the third round. It's frustrating to invest so much time and effort into an interview process, only to be left in the dark about my performance.
Advice to the company: Provide timely and constructive feedback to candidates, regardless of the outcome. This will help to improve the candidate experience and show that the company values the time and effort invested in the interview process.
