I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Newell Brands in Nov 2020
Interview
Interview process via phone and video due to COVID. Met with recruiter, hiring manager and manager next level up from hiring manager. Multiple calls with hiring manager. All asked the general interview questions.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Newell Brands (Whately, MA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me on Linkedin and said the hiring manager was very interested in my background, that they would look to raise the pay to be in line with my current pay, and that there might even be opportunities for me to move into a higher role. They scheduled an interview with the Controller within two days from then.
The interview went well as far as I could tell, although minimal explanation of the role itself. I was told that they were early in the interviewing process and it might be a while before I hear next steps. Controller seemed genuinely happy to meet with me.
After all that, two days later I received an email that they were moving forward with other candidates. Considering all the initial enthusiasm for my background, I don't really get it. I'm not even sure they have other candidates. Really weird and pretty BS. Total waste of time on my part.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Newell Brands (Deerfield, MA) in Oct 2018
Interview
Standard. Started with a phone interview with the recruiter, then an on-site interview. The on-site one was more complex as I met with the manager, the VP and two other members of the team.
