I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at New York Times (New York, NY) in Aug 2022
Interview
Recruiter screen, hiring manager, three separate panel interviews only to be ghosted after completing all rounds and feeling great about it. Then a month later they asked me if I wanted to interview for another PM position and ghosted again when I gave availability.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at New York Times (New York, NY) in Feb 2022
Interview
There were multiple levels of interviews. In order: HR, VP of the program, reporting manager, VP again, HR again. I finally ended up not taking the job because just before sending me the offer, their org structure changed, and I was aligned under a senior manager. That was not a change I was willing to take.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Process, on how I would deal with a compliance request from review of the request to decision, and if accepted for implementation, the workflow for completion.
1st red flag: Recruiter sent me the wrong invite for another candidate interviewing for the same role.
2nd red flag: Got on a video call with the Recruiter but while she was friendly, she did not switch on her video while mine was on.
3rd red flag: Chat with hiring manager did not go well as she did not seem interested at all - almost like they needed to interview people to make up the numbers. Barely asked me anything relevant about my current or past experience.
Zero follow ups after that - not even a generic email saying that I didn't make it to the next round. After looking at all these review, it's clear their process is broken.

Question 1
Nothing that stood out - the questions are generic and frankly, rather dull and standard.
