I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Network Rail in Dec 2017
Interview
Agreed an interview date and time, had the confirmation through with a completely different date and time. Made things awkward booking it off. The interviewers were nice. Interview went well but told that the job was lined up for an internal candidate and they would get first choice. Other than that, a waste of time attending and they were only hosting interviews externally for company policy.
The interview consisted of safety related questions and behavioural questions asking for examples of where I have demonstrated the Network Rail behaviours. They send out guidance on how to structure you answers with the interview invite, it was really helpful to use this.
