I completed a final onsite interview and was told by the interviewers I'd hear back within one week. Three weeks later, I still hadn't received any update.
I followed up multiple times with the recruiting team — no response. I eventually had to reach out to a different HR representative on LinkedIn just to get someone to acknowledge my application existed.
The interview process itself was poorly coordinated. I was told it would be three technical rounds of one hour each, but it turned out to be a two-hour behavioural round. Miscommunication throughout.
The candidate experience afterwards was disappointing. A rejection takes 10 seconds to send. Ghosting candidates after a final round — especially those who travelled interstate at their own expense — reflects poorly on the company's hiring culture.
I'd encourage NetApp to review their recruitment communication process.
