I went into interviewing with Nestle Canada thinking that no matter if I got the job or not that I would be treated with respect and professionalism. I gave them WAY too much credit. While the interviewers were perfectly nice during the interview, I was NEVER told whether or not I had gotten the job and all of my emails requesting a follow up or feedback were ignored.
This is not sour grapes at not getting the job. As a job seeker, I understand and have made peace with the prospect of rejection. However, I believe it is highly unprofessional to completely "ghost" a shortlisted job candidate. I expect that sort of process from a small disorganized startup but not from a Fortune 500 company with a designated HR department.
