I applied through other source. I interviewed at Nearform (Birmingham, England) in May 2026
Interview
Three rounds. First was a technical interview with a senior engineer, which went well; good technical depth on both sides. Second was a hiring manager call with a Technical Director, which was conversational and genuinely positive. I came away with a decent impression of the company.
Then nothing. I had to chase for a response, and got a reply saying the project had been delayed and they couldn't move forward. Fine, these things happen. Except the role was still listed on their careers page when I got that email, and remained so afterwards.
Maybe the delay is genuine and the listing is just stale. But after three rounds, you'd hope for either a straight answer or at least a proactive update rather than silence until nudged.
The process itself was fine. Everyone was good to talk to, and the role sounded interesting. The frustration is purely in how it ended; the "stay in touch" sign-off after three rounds and a job ad still running just doesn't add up.
