Several phone interviews followed by in-person interviews.
Similar to some other interview reviews, all interviews were positive with the result of the final interview being a statement that I would "DEFINITELY BE HEARING FROM SOMEONE TOMORROW" . . . then nothing. The tone of the final interview, and the context of the above statement, was such that I was certain I would be receiving an offer. I was never able to get another official communication from Nav again.
Since that time, I have had multiple people proactively reach out to me and indicate that the two founders have parted ways, and that the CEO is now focused on making Nav a 'Pillar of inclusiveness'. Further, regardless of my skills/experience/interview, I had been excluded from consideration so that the position may be filled by someone who checked the appropriate 'inclusive' boxes.
I am fine with a company using whatever criteria it desires for hiring, but I wasted a lot of time with interviews and travel and was then given the impression that I would be offered a position. During this time, I slow-played other options, leading me to miss a different opportunity. I accept that this was a risk I took; I only wish I had taken the risk with more insight into what was REALLY going on, and that I was never REALLY being considered. This is the reason that I am writing this review, to hopefully save someone else from making the same mistake I did.
Based on the unofficial information that I have received, and granted it is hearsay, I would suggest not wasting your time interviewing with Nav, unless you would be considered a strong hire for 'inclusiveness'.
