The interview process involved a 1:1 with the hiring manager, a technical take-home assignment, and a panel presentation/interview. I found the hiring manager to be personable and a pleasure to speak with. The technical take-home was an interesting challenge, even though the data was somewhat unfamiliar and required a significant time investment. The panel interview included a presentation of my project followed by behavioral questions, which made me a bit nervous as panel settings often do. However, everyone on the panel was respectful. I truly appreciated receiving thoughtful feedback with the rejection the following week. I really wish more hiring managers approached the process this way.
