      Technical Account Manager Interview

      25 Nov 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Edinburgh, Scotland
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at NatWest Boxed (Edinburgh, Scotland) in Nov 2025

      Interview

It's another interview process that's drawn out, with enough rounds to feel like you're going for CEO role, and trying to get clarity on salary/band feels like your being hoodwinked prior to starting the interviews. Pretty standard interview process however after the 3rd call with them I got told I was too technical for the Technical Account Manager role. Feedback that isn't entirely useful, especially given the time invested to that point. A few red flags are that I'm not actually sure who works for Boxed and who works for their contractor Capco. It seems disjointed and fragmented as a result when they discussed some of the challenges they have and continue to face, I'm guessing as usual agencies/contractors shun/get creative with accountability. They also only seem to have two customers but hinted at significant issues that has resulted in changes right up to c-suite. The self reflection is promising but concerning that it was required at such an early stage. My main issue was that even though the proposition sounds interesting they have no published product documentation so it's hard to delve into detail, so you can only talk generally about the approach you'd intend to adopt based on standard PM/agile methodology, when their questions were primarily situational based.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

All the questions were situational questions based on their products from POC through to BAU.
