I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NYPPEX (Rye, NY) in Sept 2016
Interview
have interviewed with Mr. Allen/NYPPEX several times during my career and he came across professional at all times. I was surprised by some of the reviews posted about Mr. Allen and thought I would respond to let people know my experience.
During the interview process Mr. Allen asked many questions that helped both of us to get to know each other to determine if the fit was right. As for the person that posted that Mr. Allen didn't look him in the eyes, that never happened during my interview.
In the past I have interviewed with many: CEOs , Lawyers, Doctors, Managing Partners, High Net Worth Individuals and each one has a similar style as Mr. Allen. I highly respect someone that has accomplished so much in his/her career and doesn't have to go through "silly" interviewing techniques because they know when they see the right candidate.
Please note to me he was nothing but kind, professional and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to interview with someone that has achieved so much in such a short time. I do not work for Mr. Allen and we are not connected in any way, but felt so strongly about responding to the negative comments.
FOP
I do not have any cons, the only thing please do not post information with out fully knowing the company or the owner. I have never posted anything to social media, but I felt that some of the comments were spurious and needed to be addressed.
My advice is to learn as much as you can from Mr. Allen, he is extremely smart and you know it from the minute you start talking to him. Even though we do not know each other well, coming from a highly (mensa) academic family - you pick up on it instantaneously.

Interview
I was contacted 3 months after I submitted my resume. There was a very brief phone conversation, followed by an in person interview with the CEO. The interview took approximately 10 minutes. I was only asked what I knew of the company, the rest of the interview was the CEO describing the role and the firm (he described the sales process as shooting fish in a barrel). He did not make eye contact with me throughout the entire interview. The process was bizarre and extremely unprofessional. Almost comical.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
none. there was only one question about my general knowledge of the space.
It never ceases to amaze us that when we grant an interview to a weak candidate, there is the expectation to have a 30-60 minute discussion even if you have not done your homework on our industry, our company etc. We are busy serving clients. Next time, do your homework.

Interview
I have never had a worse interview experience in my life. These people are extremely rude. They refused me the opportunity to ask questions. They refused to allow me the opportunity to meet with other people in the office when something came up and they had to cut the interview short (extremely short). The office is in a terrible extremely out of the way location.
Why keep wasting our precious recruiting time with more questions or asking to meet other employees, after we tell you we do not believe it is a fit ?
Our office is in a terrible location ? Our main headquarters is the former headquarters for General Foods. It has a lake, squash courts, gym, dedicated chef, bank branch etc.
