      Interview

We did't have an interview in a standard sense. We had an assessment centre. The assessment centre itself consisted of three main activities: 1. Group Exercise We were placed into groups of five and given case studies to work through within a set time. The tasks involved analysing company challenges (e.g., branding or campaign issues) and collaborating as a team to propose solutions. Assessors observed how we interacted, contributed ideas, and worked as a group. 2. Fact-Finding Exercise In this task, we were given a scenario where we had to choose between two charities for a company partnership (e.g., CSR initiative). We were allowed to ask the assessors as many questions as we wanted about the charities before making a decision. Afterward, we had to justify our choice, and the assessors asked additional questions—often about areas we hadn’t explored. This seemed to assess curiosity, critical thinking, and decision-making. 3. Presentation We were given a case study and time (around an hour) to prepare a presentation using a flip chart. After preparation, we presented to a panel who then asked follow-up questions. This part tested how well we could structure information, communicate ideas, and respond under pressure. There was no one-on-one interview as part of the process. Overall Experience The experience was quite different from what I expected. While I had researched assessment centres beforehand, the actual experience felt more dynamic and less predictable. It was less about having “right answers” and more about how you approached tasks, worked with others, and explained your thinking. Advice Focus on being collaborative, asking thoughtful questions, and clearly communicating your ideas rather than trying to prepare for specific scenarios.
