It was a recorded interview. They give you a couple of practice questions, the first one to make sure your lighting, audio, and webcam are working well and you'll get another chance to practice answering a question. Once the real questions start you will see a small recorded video of someone asking you the question then a timer counts you down for your answer to start recording. You get two takes to answer the question within the 1:20 or 1:30 minutes they give you and you choose which take to send them for each question. The questions are average difficulty but talking to a camera and getting your answer down to such a short time can be difficult.
