I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at N26 in Jun 2025
Interview
The process was respectful but overall too long and heavy for a mid-level role. It included 5 stages and 8 interviewers in total: HR screening call, portfolio case presentation with 2 PrD, a whiteboard challenge with a PrD and a UXR, a stakeholders interview with an Engineer and a PM and a final interview with a PrD Lead.
While the conversations were thoughtful, the number of steps felt excessive and, at times, repetitive. After 3 months, since my application, I received a rejection. I appreciated the detailed final feedback, especially the breakdown of strengths and concerns. However, one of the rejection reasoning was confusing: I was told my design approach seemed not sufficient for the role in 2 early interviews, even though I was told I passed those rounds with positive feedback. That contradiction left me uncertain about what really led to the rejection.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at N26
Interview
The N26 Product Designer interview was professional yet impersonal. Interviewers remained neutral, focusing solely on skills without exploring personal aspects or asking any non-work-related questions. Felt a bit straight-to-business without even trying to break the ice.
