I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Munchery (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2021
Interview
The interview for the Head Chef position was disappointing. The candidate arrived late without notice, seemed unprepared, and lacked enthusiasm when discussing leadership and kitchen operations. His responses were vague, and he struggled to provide concrete examples of managing a team or maintaining quality under pressure. Overall, he did not demonstrate the level of professionalism, experience, or passion we expect for such a critical role.

The interview process began with a phone screening and then a one-on-one interview at their office. I was asked about previous experience working with the public and brief knowledge about marketing. I was told I would hear back from the company but never did. For making the trip out there, I would have appreciated that.

Comprehensive. Met everyone. Two rounds of in-person. Founders were still there so they were very good at selling their story. Very nice men who cared a lot for their folks.
