I have interviewed for Data Scientist role which included the following stages: 1. Recruiter's call. 2. Interview with Hiring manager. 3. Data Challenge - to complete a data analysis assignment within 48 hrs. 4. Final step consists of 6 rounds of interviews which consists of data case interviews, product sense interviews, coding interviews, a presentation on the data analysis submitted in the previous round. The overall interview process is very unprofessional. The recruiters expect you to take their call at any time and be available for an unplanned meeting during weekdays at moment's notice. Even then, there were instances where the recruiter herself didn't join the meeting scheduled by her. The presentation round was initially set to be attended by 6 people however, it was attended by around 25 people. The hiring manager casually invited the entire team unannounced. I have prepared my presentation for a mix of audience with both business and technical backgrounds, however almost all 25 of the attendees were data scientists and most of them tried to grill me just to show their prowess in front of their peers. The provided time for completing the data analysis is 2 days, however, they expected a complete research thesis. Finally, the recruiter took more than a week to put an actual offer in front of me and I had to meet with the hiring manager multiple times - reason - to convince him why I couldn't do more on the data challenge. Their product may be exciting but their recruitment process is very unprofessional at least at this time.
