ICU interview. I transferred in house from another ICU. We also frequently interview candidates from other institutions. Don't bother applying to ICU if you don't have inpatient RN experience, most NYC hospitals have this same practice.

Got a call from the Nurse Manager, got an offer from HR 2 weeks after. Interview went very well, more on personality rather than technical skills. Discussed the unit and gave an overall sense of working. Was honest of the difficulty of the unit.

Interviewed with manager than with the staff. Went well. They strongly support team work amongst interdisciplinary teams and patient satisfaction. I didn't feel intimidated and felt comfortable throughout the interview. Wonderful experience.
