      Account Executive Interview

      5 May 2023

      Philadelphia, PA
      No offer

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mondo (Philadelphia, PA) in Apr 2023

      Interview

The interview process is a whirl wind - from the initial contact after they reached out, it was near daily contact to schedule additional interviews. The initial interview was interesting, and simply qualifying questions. The Second interview with the Manager of the technical recruiter I worked with left me feeling as though I was not a priority since the only way she knew to engage the Prospect was to say 'I'm just so curious' before asking the question. I'd challenge her to find some EEOC friendly ways to ask 'how / why / tell me more' in these meetings. The third interview with the Director of the floor was fantastic, and speaking with that them wholly made me excited to seek out this opportunity. They put on a face that absolutely instills belief in their team, and has a great way of investing your interest. The fourth interview, with both a team lead and manager for the office I was l interviewing at was fine. They ask you to do a ‘Sell Me’ example which is ultimately looking to verify that you’re capable of moving through the STAR sales technique – I actually lost investment in this opportunity after speaking with them however. There was a highlight on limited income potential during ramp up, to the point where the OTE was laughable, and the salary offering versus hours expected to be worked in these hours are far from competitive, especially in the local market. [The salary cap for Mondo isn’t even competitive for the salary cap at the Addison group]. Finally, I had an interview scheduled for the final step and no one showed up – the recruiter reached out to me after 45 minutes with a ‘yikes, looks like that didn’t work out’ and expected my continued flexibility in the interview process. Ultimately, I told them I no longer had flexibility in my schedule and lost contact with the recruiter. I moved forward with a competing opportunity in the same market.

      Interview

Spoke first to a recruiter who was wonderful and so helpful, than to the Chicago area manager who was awful. Barely asked me questions, tried to twist my words or try to play devils advocate, and acted like I was an idiot for my opinions or experiences. I just graduated college so I'm no dummy, but the way this woman talks down to you you would think you are.

      Interview

Pretty straight forward interview process. Phone screen then a call with sales managers. Amanda (Mondo recruiter) was great and very helpful during the whole interview process. Everyone I talked to was very nice. Overall it was not a bad interview process at all.
