Initially they interviewed me for Delivery Manager role(Contract). After the first round, they asked me to go for one more round for Engineering Manager role(Permanent). Once I cleared all 4 levels, all of a sudden their priority changed and asked me if I can be a Tech Consultant(Contract) or Engineering Manager(Permanent).
After the discussion, there is no update from the HR team or Hiring Manager. I had to keep calling them on a daily basis to know the status. I called them back after 10 days and they said that I had to decide on which role to take. I wanted to go for a permanent position and conveyed the same. They told their priority has changed and going only for contract positions(3 to 6 months). I declined the offer.
Though their interview rounds were professional, I have never seen a company with such a priority change within a week after interview. Not sure if all the folks in the interview panel(Including CTO and CEO) know their current priority.
Good that I didn't join such a volatile company which doesn't have any clue on what is their current priority.
