After a first general interview, I was invited to come to their office for a second interview, where we openly discussed technical AI-related topics. There were 2 engineers, each asking a number of questions, before passing the turn to me to ask them questions. The interview actually went very well. After more than 2 weeks, I was informed that they "closed" the position, because they hired a senior engineer for ANOTHER position. This has to be the most disappointing experience I've had with job hunting, especially when I took a paid holiday to go to their office for the 2nd interview. The company's hiring team is truly shameful; if you don't want to hire multiple people, don't open multiple positions in the first place.
