I applied online. I interviewed at MistyWest (Vancouver, BC) in Sept 2025
Interview
Had a short phone screening before they invited me to the office, which was fine. It was then a very strange interview from start to finish. At first no one acknowledged me when I walked through the door and I had go right up to someones desk to ask if I was in the right place. I get taken to another room in which it is two people (who I believe are sisters) interviewing me and really giving the vibe that they don't want to be there. One seemed like she was doing work on her laptop and had to be reminded to ask me some questions. They made a lot of comments on how the culture is quite poor and needing a lot of help. It was generally a really uncomfortable interview and I felt like they hadn't done many interviews before and didn't think it was important to be welcoming or interested to the interviewee. I can see the role is still being advertised for over 6 months so perhaps they're not wanting to find anyone.

Interview
I was contacted by email for a screener call a little over a week after applying online. The call was scheduled for a week later and I thought it went very well. We used more than the allotted time and had a good chat about the position and the unique aspects of the company.
The HR rep informed me that she would connect with the technical members of the team about arranging a technical interview. Unfortunately, after discussing it they decided not to go forward with the technical interview after all.
Online , quick and comprehensive. There were around four rounds of interviews, usually include technical test . Process is very well Organized, addressed all questions and queries. Welcoming interview process, forward thinking company.
