I applied online. I interviewed at Missionary Training Center (Provo, UT) in May 2026
Interview
There were three questions and I was given a specific amount of time to think about each question before it automatically started recording. I was given varying amounts of time for each question. They recommend that you do it with a good microphone, professional clothes, and a professional back ground.

Interview
Fairly easy and straightforward, simple questions and a role play at the end. Overall, not very stressful. Being prepared to share a variety of scriptures would be recommended. Begins with introductions before going into logistics, then you talk about your mission and why you'd like to teach at the MTC. Concludes with a role play and then an evaluation.

Interview
It's a 3-4 Step Process:
1. You fill out your personal information online and send it in for review.
2. You will go in and have a rating session where you will have to share a 10 minute lesson that you have prepared in advance with 2 current teachers who will determine your teaching ability.
3. After your rating session you may have to wait some time to hear back from the MTC, I heard back in 1 1/2 weeks, but during my group interview I met people who were waiting over 4 months. After waiting you will hear back from them letting you know that they want you to come in for a group interview. During this group interview they will show you how MTC teachers are suppose to teach and then give you 3 minutes to prepare a 5 minute lesson on an assigned section of Preach my Gospel. You will teach everyone in the group, and then you will listen to the others as they present.
4. You will then have to wait for a week to hear back if they want to offer you the job, if they don't want to hire you at this time, or if they would like to have an additional interview with you.

Question 1
They will expect you to be able to teach the Gospel and the lessons that are in Preach My Gospel on the spot, and with little to no preparation.
