I applied online. I interviewed at Miken Construction (Ontario, CA) in Sept 2011
Interview
The hiring and interview process was really not bad. I had to interview first with the VP and my second interview was with a unit manager. I went back several days later and interviewed again. Within a week a received an offer.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Miken Construction (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) in Jul 2010
Interview
They called me in for two interviews. The first was with the VP who went over the basic job description, my work history, what I had done recently. It was pretty straightforward and I didn't have to do too much explaining;
the second interview was with the team lead which was far less formal; I just showed a positive attitude and chimed in with whatever I predicted she was going to say. She had a good impression of me and I was hired on.

Question 1
None really, the most troubling one was what I had done recently since I hadn't worked in 2 years by then.
