Midas Store Manager interview questions

Ad said salary of 65k-80k Store Manager - I had to meet regional manager over an hour and a half away with toll roads (30.00) I had a great interview (2 of them). I was praised as smart and a great fit for the company. I thought things were going great. Nothing was true about this job. The location I applied for did not need a manager. There was supposedly several locations needing a manager in the first interview but during this second interview there were none all of a sudden. During the interview I was told by another manager about the assistant manager position which is not what I applied for and everyone knew what position I was interviewing for. I was getting pretty confused as to why he was discussing that position. The worst thing is I had a start date but none of the information of the lower position and MUCH LOWER pay! I didn’t feel right about everything going on and told him about my grievances and that’s when he disclosed the lower job and way lower pay. I come with 23 years management. I am highly skilled with a business degree. I can say I truly feel this was discrimination. If any man walked in with half my experience this would’ve been different and that I’m sure of!
