Michigan State University interview questions

Video call interview of 30 minutes, 2 different coaches where there to get to know me and ask me reasons why I'd love to get this position and why they should hire me

The process up until the first interview round is fine, typical stuff, but later they disappeared. Apparently they don't reject other candidates until after a candidate from the pool is hired, atleast have the decency to let us know. Didn't know I wasn't in the running until I followed up. There's this one guy who mentioned there would be 2 people in the panel and would record the interview for others, but on the day of interview, showed up with three other peeps.
