Call with Recruiter. Virtual Interview with the Supervising Attorney. Final step was Virtual Panel Interview.
Speaking with the recruiter was nice. Went over the usual questions about background of the company, discussed my experience with commercial contracting and maintaining contracting systems. I was referred to be interviewed with the supervising attorney for the commercial contracts role. (Recruiter was very impressed with my experience and said as much. I liked her a lot.)
Unfortunately, this attorney was very cold and I have no idea why. When I explained my interest in the role with the opportunity to grow in addition to the commercial work, she was very curt in saying that was not the role here, and if that’s what your interested, it’s not for you. This was within the first 5 minutes of the interview. Needless to say I was taken aback and it left an impression on me.
After the interview finished, I informed the recruiter that there was a disconnect between what I was told and what the supervising attorney discussed. Upon doing so, I’m certain that I withdrew myself from any advancement in the process.
