I applied through other source. I interviewed at Meta
Interview
Phone screen followed by virtual interview with hiring manager followed by full loop (several interviews on a single day). The recruiter was very helpful in targeting the right role. The hiring manager was quite rude and asked bad questions that could not really have helped assess qualifications for position.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Meta
Interview
This was a thorough and lengthy process. First step was a 30 minute conversation with a recruiter to gauge experience, background, and motivation for joining the company. Next was a 45 minute interview with a UX researcher, who asked me to scope out a hypothetical UX research project (this was fun!). Next was a "full loop" interview (a virtual equivalent to an onsite presentation during COVID) in which I presented on some of my work and then had three, one-on-one interviews with researchers that were focused on product sense, skills, and behavioral questions. I then had a final couple of conversations that were specific to the team I was applying for.
Overall, it was a very well managed process, and I felt prepared at each step of the way by the recruiter, who gave me information about what to expect during each interview and how to prepare. The only quirk throughout the process is that I wasn't being interviewed for a specific role until the very end -- the hiring process is designed to evaluate your fit with the org and your skills in a general sense before finding you a specific role.

You have an initial interview, followed by a 4 hour 'full loop' interview. It's quite a difficult process and the interviews are mainly back-to-back. It's not really a 2 step process as the second step is 4 45 min interviews.
