I interviewed for an Associate Therapist position. The recruiter was helpful and communicated clearly, though much of the guidance focused on what not to do rather than role expectations. The interview with the clinical supervisor felt unusual for an associate-level role: I was asked to complete a live vignette and provide a diagnosis on the spot, which seemed more appropriate for a fully licensed clinician.
Additionally, the hours discussed during the process changed—from 30 hours initially to 20 hours—adding some confusion. Overall, the interview process felt misaligned with typical expectations for an associate-level position industry-wide. Also, I noticed through my research a lack of diversity in clinicians hired.
