I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company in Jan 2021
Interview
I applied on LinkedIn. I heard via email from a recruiter within a week of submitting my application. I had an initial Skype interview where we went over my experience and resume. She claimed it was a pre-screen that would only take thirty minutes. It turned into a full-blown interview that lasted over an hour. She said she would follow up with the next steps. Two weeks went by and she sent me an online assessment (which took an additional hour of my personal time,) that I completed that day. I followed up via email three separate times over an additional four weeks. I finally got an automated email saying they went with another candidate.
