The process was poorly executed. I've been fortunate enough to intern with other large companies and most have University Relations teams ready to onboard interns/coOps. The McKesson team in Richmond explained to me that the company is only in its second year of hiring interns and it became very obvious.....
First round questions were by HR basically checking basic business/academic history. Then I was scheduled to speak with who my manager would be if I received an offer. The interview was okay - he seemed uninterested but offered much information about the job. Afterward he said an email would be sent to prospective candidates within the week regarding results.
2 weeks went by and no emails from the recruiter or the manager ever came. The manager had suggested during the interview that I email him if any questions arose- I did and to no avail/response.
Truly a classless process to have students trying to plan internships and semester work around these interviews and then to just drop off communications. I lost respect for this company a bit....
