I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Maven Clinic (New York, NY) in Mar 2021
Interview
Had a nice conversation with HR and the hiring manager, then received an assessment that "should not take more than 3 hours or so to complete". Analyzed a small dataset, wrote 2 queries, created a visualization for a prompt, and wrote out my recommendations/findings. A week after submitting, I followed up and they said they had already moved forward with someone else. I responded thanking them and asked for feedback, and no response. From other reviews, sounds like if they don't want you, they act like you don't exist. From my experience, many companies have been doing this where they'll give you an assignment that takes many hours and then don't provide feedback with their rejection email even if you ask!
Interview process included an initial phone screen with HR, then hiring manager interview, then technical assessment
HR individual was very rude and condescending, not a good impression of the company
I applied online. I interviewed at Maven Clinic in Aug 2021
Interview
Incredibly quick and smooth hiring process, the recruiter kept me up to date each step of the way and I was hired within 3 weeks of applying. I applied through LinkedIn, had a first round with the hiring manager, was given a take home case, presented the take home case + had 3 other interviews during a virtual onsite.
