I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Mathnasium in Jun 2013
Interview
I replied to their ad on a job search site and got a call back from them the next day asking me to come in and talk to them. They did not arrange a formal interview or conduct a phone interview aside from asking me briefly about my resume. I went to see them at a later date and we discussed my qualifications and what the job would be like. Instead of a traditional interview, I was asked to take a math placement test that included concepts from elementary to high school math. Some of the questions involved some strategic algebraic thinking, while others were very basic. When I finished, they reviewed the questions I missed with me and gave me a chance to explain my thinking (or to point out a silly mistake). Having performed acceptably, I was immediately given employment forms to fill out and asked to start the next day.

Question 1
I think the most difficult one was similar to: "A solution containing 30% juice is mixed with a solution containing 10% juice to make 100 gallons of solution containing 12% juice. How many gallons of the 30% solution was used?"

Interview
very easy interview, asked about experience and availability. The interview is also super quick and they try to know what level of math you know up to. Also need to take an employment test that has questions from elementary to beginning of high school. Need to pass this test in order to be employed.
Submitted resume online and had an interview call with the owner of the place. Asked questions about why you want to work here and if you have prior tutoring or teaching experience. Then took a math test to see your aptitute and skills.

Interview
You get asked behavioral questions, and then you will take a math test on topics from elementary to high school math. The test is not very hard and is mostly a review of classes you took before high school.
