I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Massage Envy (American Fork, UT) in May 2013
Interview
Verbal and hands on interview. You give a massage to the interviewer as the hands on portion. It was easy, though they give no real instructions. Be sure to pretend the interviewer is a client from start to finish, including asking where to focus, asking about health background, ask for permission to work on any areas like glutes, pecs, face, scalp, or feet.
The verbal portion of the interview is simple. As evidenced by the IQ of many of my former coworkers, you don't need to be anywhere near average intelligence to qualify. Any highschool dropout could manage that portion.
This really is the easiest place to get hired. They are always short handed and they don't pay well, so you can expect to get hired if you apply.

Question 1
What kind of massage modalities I was comfortable performing.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Venice, FL) in Jul 2025
Interview
Interview process included an in-person interview with the manager of the location I applied to. After sitting down with the manager and discussing my experience and availability, I completed a practical to demonstrate my skills. I was offered a position at the end of the interview and then moved forward in the onboarding. Overall exactly what one would expect when interviewing for a massage therapy position.
Phone then in-person interview then a Practical. It was quick and easy. The interview went well. And was informative. Interview was not difficult at all. Got to also tour the building
They asked me some good questions we also toured the clinic and they gave me a run down of how they operate day to day. I got alot of questions about how I would respond in certain situations.
