I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MassMutual (Springfield, MA) in May 2018
Interview
Applying online for the position was easy. The next day I received an email from a recruiter (in the email she wanted to speak with me about my application and if I could do that within less than three hours from receiving the email-it would be informal). The recruiter also left a phone message. Since it was to be an informal conversation I had no problem speaking that quickly to her. However, the phone call was anything but informal. It was essentially an on the spot interview. She had a strong accent and was sometimes hard to understand. Also, I am not sure if she was calling from a work phone as reception was spotty at times. Some of the questions made me wonder if she actually reviewed my resume and understood that my compliance experience was in the government/state sector where we had no finished product/bottom line or customers/customer experience in the normal sense. Needless to say things did not go well and I got the old we will get back to you as we have many candidates for this position (7-10 days). Got the rejection email the next day.
Do not put in your job posting that a preferred qualification is someone with a technology background when what you really want is it to be a minimum qualification. It would save everybody a lot of grief.
