The interview process was thorough and transparent. The role was for an immediate hire so the process was fairly quick. I interviewed with the hiring manager and two other managers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview questions were mostly related to experience in relation to the job.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Marek Brothers Systems (Houston, TX) in Nov 2020
Interview
There is an initial phone call to touch base with a flurry of questions for the position and your qualifications followed by an invitation for virtual interview on future date.
During the 2nd interview, virtual interview, there was a single interviewer I spoke with for about 30-45 minutes. I listed some volunteer work I did related to the Republican Party of Texas and my status as a State Delegate which was buried in a multitude of credentials, certifications, and experience. It was very minor compared to the many other qualifications, however the interviewer spent the entire interview wanting to discuss 2 things.
1. My involvement with Texas Republican Party. Why I was wrong about conservative views.
2. My past education and its relevance to psychological cognitive dissonance issues.
I listened to the interviewer bash and belittle my volunteer work with the Party and then insult my higher than average education which, he repeatedly asked questions to the effect of whether I thought I was better than other applicants for the same position.
Most of the political questions were related to immigration and border security.
After 30 minutes of answering best as possible I got the idea that this interviewer personally intended to interview me for the sole purpose of wasting my time and bashing me.
I applied through university. I interviewed at Marek Brothers Systems (Bengaluru) in Mar 2023
