Marchon Partners interview questions

Extremely unprofessional interview process. I was one of the first applicants, and the recruiter actually reached out to me to schedule a time to chat about it, so I did. Then 30 minutes before my interview, they canceled it and said they received a lot of interest so they are "no longer taking applications". The gentleman on LinkedIn then said "If noone works out I'll let you know", making me definitely feel like I would just be their second choice for the role. I am not going to beg to work for this company that has such low reviews anyway, so I pulled myself out of the interview process and all further communication from them. Again, I cannot emphasize how unprofessional this was and how this company clearly does not care about people or even treating prospective employees well. What does this say about how they treat their employees when they actually work for them?
