Question 1
Describe your sleep quality or sleep experience generally?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Manta Sleep (Pretoria, Gauteng) in Aug 2025
Interview
The interview process at Manta Sleep was incredibly smooth and well-structured. I first applied by filling out a form and submitting my details. Shortly after, I had an initial interview with the HR Manager, who was communicative and supportive throughout the entire process.
Next, I interviewed with the CMO and the person who now leads the marketing team — someone I collaborate with on a weekly basis. After that, I received a trial assignment to complete. The expectations were clear, and I was given more than enough time to complete the tasks, which I really appreciated.
Following the assignment, I had my final interview with the CEO. Within 2–3 days, I received my offer and signed my work contract.
Overall, I was genuinely impressed with how professional yet personal the entire experience felt. I felt seen, valued, and respected at every stage. Everyone I spoke with was approachable, kind, and easy to talk to. A special shout-out to the HR Manager for keeping me informed and making the process seamless from start to finish.

Interview
Okay, so the interview process at Manta Sleep has quite a few steps to get through, but let me tell you, it’s totally worth it. I actually appreciated that the length gave me time to figure out if Manta Sleep was the right place for me, just as much as they were assessing my fit for the team.
The whole thing was well-structured. It started with a detailed application (put some effort in, seriously!), then a solid chat with the recruiter. The highlight was definitely meeting the CEO. What a great, genuine conversation! It truly felt like we’d known each other for years.
After that, they asked me to complete a trial assignment, and this is where Manta Sleep really shines. They paid me for the time it took to complete the pre-hire work! I’ve never had a company do that before, and it was the clearest indication that they genuinely respect your time and commitment.
The process ended with a final quick check-in, and I got the offer right then. Was it long? Yes. Was it slow? Not at all. It moved efficiently and the CEO was super responsive. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Now that I’ve joined, I can see the level of talent on the team, and I totally get why they have this thorough process. It's how they manage to be so successful!
