You can only get hired if someone who works there recommends you to a hiring manager, and they happen to need what you can do. The current employee talks to you, gets your phone number, and forwards your name and number to a hiring manager. the hiring manager calls within 2 or 3 days, asks a few questions to determine if you really can do the job, are willing to work for the promised amount, and are willing to travel to the location of the job. If all lights are green, you will get an assignment, which usually starts within a couple of days, and is sometimes hundreds of miles from your home. If it works out, they pay travel exp to and from the job site, but you have to finish the job to get the travel pay home (can't quit early).
