I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Magna Legal Services (Lake Charles, LA) in Feb 2026
Interview
I had a 30 minute interview with a recruiter. My relative is employed at this job and they are a person of status. The recruiter told me she would get back to me within a few days on whether or not I got a second interview. After three weeks of silence, I finally decided to reach out myself. She responded a day later saying they decided not to move forward with me as a candidate. Taking that long to respond to anyone is disrespectful, but it’s worse in this situation because I have a family member who works there. So they made themselves look really bad to both of us, but embarrassed them as well. For the record, my background perfectly fit what they were asking for- the exact same degree and experience in both titles of the position for over 3 years apiece.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
She asked me if I was okay with the pay and if the position itself aligned with my wants and needs for a long-term employer.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Magna Legal Services in Nov 2025
Interview
More than qualified for all 5 positions I applied for. Employee referral. 5 minute lazy interview with McKenna who never followed up. Eventually got all 5 rejection letters. Asked for feedback and was told it would be unfair. All the jobs are posted again. Seems scammy.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Magna Legal Services (Philadelphia, PA)
Interview
First interview was smooth, very laid back and the recruiter did a great job, then here came interview #2 as well, then a shadowing, and then you guessed it!! Interview #3!
