I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Mad Systems (Orange, CA) in Jun 2017
Interview
I applied for a temporary position with Mad Systems in mid-June 2017. The spirit of the company and nature of the position sounded exactly like what I was looking for; small company, very creative and unique, and looking for an administrative assistant with a creative side.
I was called in to interview about a week after applying and met with the team the next day. During the interview I found out that their workload has been growing so although they needed coverage for a maternity leave, they hoped to grow this into a full-time position. The company and role really seemed to be right up my alley and the people seemed fun, so I accepted their offer for this temporary position and was even able to get right to work the following Monday.
Mad Systems went out of their way to make this a mutually beneficial relationship by providing 4 full months of training before my coworker departed for maternity leave. My coworker not only fully prepared me to take over her duties during her term of absence, but made sure I was prepared to fill this position permanently so she could assume a new role upon her return.
Not only did I learn that I loved helping with the administrative and procurement duties this job requires, but I have enjoyed other aspects of the job including establishing relationships with clients, assisting with marketing initiatives, and developing videos and graphics.
I have had the pleasure of continuing my employment with Mad Systems since my coworker returned from maternity leave last month. Everyone has shown me tremendous support and are working hard to make sure we keep bringing in business so we can continue to grow and expand our team. I’m very grateful that this experience has not only met my expectations, but far exceeded them.
After 7 months of being with Mad Systems, I have found the owners and employees here to be very fun-loving and knowledgeable with a great passion for what they do. Mad Systems has appreciation and understanding for their partners and clients, and really know how to create a personalized experience for those they meet and work with. Because of that, they are highly reputable in their industry, and have proven to be no less gracious in how they treat their staff.

Question 1
When you interviewed people working in HR, what was your favorite question to ask people? (After providing my response, she followed with: "how would you answer that question?")
The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Mad Systems in Jun 2017
Interview
I was called in to drive from Los Angeles to Orange County last minute for this interview. The office seemed pretty cool looks wise. However, it was odd because the marketing coordinator who was about to be on maternity leave was asking all the questions while the VP sat back pretty silent throughout the whole process. They made it clear that this company is too small and there is NO opportunity to grow. It was only a contracted position for a few months with 0 promises they could hire me full time. However they did not mention before I drove there that it was contracted because as soon as their pregnant marketing coordinator could come back to work, you would be let go. She also has been in that role for three years and unable to move up the corporate ladder just to show how little growth there is. In addition to this, it is NOT a marketing job. They told me I could make flyers to practice my marketing skills. It is a complete administrative role. Don't be fooled. I was very clear in my interview that I was looking for marketing positions and was not looking for administrative positions which I believe affected my offer.
