Standard recruiter driven interview. Initial screening process after meeting with studio recruiter involved discussing all options and where I would be the best fit in the company, and could apply my skillset and training.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at MGM Studios (Beverly Hills, CA) in Feb 2014
Interview
first had a phone interview with the current assistant.
then came into meet with my potential employer. sat in lobby for a long time.
went into the guys office with my resume. im not sure if he ever looked at it.
he told me about his path to being an executive.
asked me about my past job experience.
told me that mgm was a great place to grow and learn.
then he told me a lot about what hollywood was like as an industry and asked if i had thick skin,
then he asked me what my favorite movie was.
he told me that i would have to pay my dues and if i did i could go far.
after the interview he gave me sample coverage.
