I started with a first contact from a HH, then after we discussed, and I showed to him my interest on this opportunity.
Then, I was contacted by the talent manager from MCC, in interview was scheduled within the same week with the Talent Manager (Frank)
We had an interview for @ 30 minutes, great talk and while on the call, he told me if I was available to talk with the hiring manager.
This same week, the interview was scheduled with the VP of Operations (Chris).
This was the key to succeed, since we had great connection and good conversations about the plant and the challenges.
Chris told me that the next step was to bring me to the FW plant.
The process went a bit slow then due to different interviews scheduled with other candidates and finding the right time for the managers and me to go to visit the plant in FW.
On the third week of the process, I visited the plant, had a great conversation with the HR Director and the former General Manager (Erika and Robert), I also met in person the VP (Chris), and after the interview, I had a tour thru the whole plant lead by Melissa, (Lean Master Manager).
After that, I left the plant with the expectations to know what the next step was, and it happened by the end of that week.
An interview scheduled with the Sr. VP of Operations (Charles Grogan), that was a great conversation, focused on the plant, expectations, the lean concepts and the understanding of the reasons why it is key to have the right leader to be in charge of the plant.
During the 4th week, there was a follow up with the need to provide some professional referrals to talk with and the final interview with the president (Mr. Craig Miller).
This happened on the 5th week of the process.
We talked about the organization, the goals and expectations for the next 3 to 5 years, again, the more I learned, the more I was convinced to work for MCC.
That same day, I received the call from Chris, with the verbal offer and following that, I received the formal offer that night
I signed it the following day
To me, for a position like this and the number of candidates interviewed, plus the challenges for logistics, it was a smooth and fast process
thanks
Daniel.
