I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at MADEC Australia in Jun 2021
Interview
Felt looked down on & judged. Not in an “we are judging to see if you are a good fit” kind of way either. 2 very snooty women who felt it necessary to go as far as rolling their eyes if they didn’t like something you said. Told them I was looking for a job with less overtime than my current role as I have children. Their job advert said that no overtime was expected of their employees but was told in the interview that they often work from home on weekends and I’d need to be prepared to be woken at 4am on weekends & weekdays as that’s when the labourers start on site and will call you if they want to know anything. Benefits on offer were basic minimal by law offerings (super, paid sick leave, penalty rates for overtime etc). Crappy pay rates and unrealistic expectations. I actually got offered the role after the fact and politely declined. It’s no wonder they are always looking for staff.
