I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lush (Clapham Junction, England) in Jul 2022
Interview
So I did my interview at Clapham Junction store, first of all we all waited outside then we entered and they asked our name what contract we want and then made us wait. The manager states she doesn’t know why she’s being so nice and waiting for anyone else to show up pass the interview time. Then further more, we got split into groups of 3 and taken to each task, one was to find a perfect perfume given to the scenario, next was to practice arm massaging and third was gifts to find the best gift for someone. My personal experience I got put with 2 people who was very loud and everytime I tried to speak in, I couldn’t get a word in. The team members were very much it was clear they knew what they wanted. I personally feel as though I did quite well however the task with the massaging - well what if you weren’t comfortable to have someone rubbing your arm? Feel like this stuff should be listed before you show up to an interview plus in my group I was the only one who dressed smart, was there not a dress code? At the end the manager said she would want people to do a trial shift on the weekend, I already stated I wouldn’t be able to do the weekend as my job I’m still in I had a shift with and I think personally that’s why I didn’t make it through. My feedback was : ask more questions to establish the needs of the customer. However it was scenario based so how can I ask more questions when it’s not a real situation? I’d say just be open minded going into this interview and be prepared to be there for 2 hours.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What perfume would u recommend to someone who likes sweet smells.
It was a group interview, very unconventional, hands-on, and activity-based, teamwork. They expect you to know their company values and ethics, which will carry over to your role. It was very relaxed and they made me feel very comfortable and heard.

Interview
Was offered an interview and it was fairly casual - in the cafe, and it only lasted around 45 minutes. Pretty much immediately after I was offered a trial shift, and I went and it was kind of horrible because we didn’t know anything about the products, and it also wasn’t very busy so it felt like we were competing with each other to get a customer’s attention, only to not even be able to give them proper information and just have to guess. It was a bit embarrassing and we didn’t get paid either, but we got a free shower gel. I found out I got the job on the way home from the trial shift.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Lush (Cardiff, Wales)
Interview
Onboarding session and then a practice shift which involved you sitting customers down and demonstrating products on them. Lasts around an hour, and it’s done in groups of trial shifts.
