I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lumafield (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2025
Interview
The interview process was very smooth. The recruiter did a great job of scheduling the interviews. There were quite a few rounds, with me meeting the marketing department VP, the marketing director, the rest of the sales and marketing team, and then finally the CEO. I also had to prepare a presentation to present to the wider team, where it was a 30 minute presentation and the rest of the time was for questions.

More specific questions on experiences with HubSpot and data analysis. Also received questions from the sales team on how to effectively train the sales team on new tools.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lumafield (De Zoom) in Nov 2025
Interview
3 rounds. First round with Non-technical recruiter asking very basic questions about background and personal. Second round with manager of Systems/Embedded team probing resume experiences and asking extension/add-on questions about multithreading, embedded software constraints, and some hardware communication protocols. Third round is a PRESENTATION of one of your projects to the same manager + 2 other members of the embedded software team. They ask questions. Made it through the first two rounds, but did not get through third round. Manager cited insufficient knowledge of parallel programming and multithreading for rejection. I'm honestly ok with the decision because I don't know much abt it yet, but the presentation seemed a bit extra.

Question 1
Python Multithreading vs Multiprocessing. Fundamental differences in how they work and their use-cases.
The interview process aligns with the posted process on the company website: Recruiter screen, Manager screen, TAP with a panel of people, and a CEO screen. The TAP takes longer than the given timeframe, only worth it if theres an offer in the end.
