I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement in Jun 2021
Interview
I got an email from the recruiter asking me to please fill out the application for the position and she arranged the interview, so of course I was excited since the company looked for me instead of the other way around.
The store manager had me waiting for 20 minutes while he was on the phone and then finally printing the interview packet, ( he didn’t even had that ready!)
He never made eye contact, was yawning through the interview and then he decided to check a txt and ask me to wait while he called someone about an order.
First time in my career that I was tempted to get up and walked out, but I am a professional.
I’m not surprised that I didn’t get an offer, but if by some miracle they would have call and offer the job to me, I would had denied. I could never work for such an unprofessional and rude man.
I have being conducting interviews for many years now. First thing you need to do is make sure there will be no interruptions, and second you have your interview packet and any other questions you might have ready.
Even if you know from the get go that you are not going to hire the applicant, (also unprofessional…) you own them the respect of conducting a professional interview. After all, they took their time to fill out the application and then wasted their time and gas to go for the interview. If you can respect your employees since the interview, do not demand respect from them!

Interview
I had a phone interview. Very pleasant experience! I was left with the impression I would be communicated with, in the next week or so, but had to reach out myself the week after.
