Very interactive group interview with around 15 girls. Interviewers were upbeat and friendly, tried to make us feel comfortable. We were given a series of tasks and questions which we answered in smaller groups. At the end we were given information about the Lovisa brand and working at Lovisa.
Start out with an online application including a pre-recorded video interview with set questions to answer in a given amount of time. If you pass the first round then a phone call with the manager.
Probably the most unprofessional interview I've experienced. I interviewed at the Chadstone store during their open interviews. They asked me to come back at a scheduled time, but when I came back at this time they had double booked me and another interviewee. We had to wait around 15-20 minutes in the store until I was finally able to be interviewed. The other interviewee who was told to come back at the same time as me had to wait even longer, until my interview concluded.
I was interviewed by 2 people. I found it a little unprofessional that their dirty plates after lunch were left on the table (surely ask a waiter to remove these if an interviewee is coming). After telling me I reminded her of someone she knew and trying to find said person on Instagram, one of the ladies received a call within 2 minutes of the interview beginning and stepped to the side to take the call. The other was clearly a little inexperienced at interviewing, but she was a really bubbly person and easy to talk to. The lady remained on the phone during my interview and did not return to the table. I was not asked a single question by her.
I was really disappointed with this, as I felt that I wasn't asked enough questions, and I was not able to talk to the one of them at all. I felt that this negatively impacted my chances. However, upon reflection, this experience has made me realise that such an unprofessional interview experience was a reflection of the company as a whole, and it is not somewhere I would want to work. The way Lovisa was represented during this interview to a candidate was honestly embarrassing for them, and I hope they do better respecting other peoples' time going forward.
It was actually really simple! The girl interviewing was a new employee and iust asked about me and what I liked about Lovisa. It was also really short and was only like 5 minutes.
